What it is
This article covers the Welcome Tenant flow, the onboarding link or QR code, and the tenant email OTP step.
When to use it
Use this when a vacant unit is ready for move-in and you need the tenant to complete their details.
How to do it
- Open the property details page and confirm the unit is vacant.
- Click Welcome Tenant on the correct unit.
- Share the onboarding link or QR code with the incoming tenant.
- The tenant completes the form, requests OTP, and verifies the email code.
- Return to the tenant record once the onboarding is complete and confirm the unit now shows as occupied.
What success looks like
The tenant reaches their login or dashboard flow, and the unit is linked to the new tenant record.
What to do if something goes wrong
- If the unit is already occupied, the onboarding flow is blocked until the current tenant vacates.
- If the invitation expires or is lost, generate a fresh onboarding link from the property page.
- If the tenant says the OTP did not arrive, ask them to check spam and resend the code from the onboarding page.
