What it is

Water billing tracks meter readings for a property and unit so the next reading can bill usage correctly.

When to use it

Use this when you charge for water by consumption instead of using a flat fee.

How to do it

1. Open Water Billing and choose Add reading.
2. Select the property and unit, then enter the reading month, date, and current reading.
3. Save the first reading as the base reading.
4. Enter the next reading later so the app can calculate the usage difference.
5. Review the generated bill or invoice if your workflow creates one from the reading.

What success looks like

The first reading is saved, later readings compare correctly, and the bill reflects the measured usage.

What to do if something goes wrong

• If the page is read-only, your account is in a frozen billing state.
• If a bill does not appear yet, confirm whether this is the first base reading or a later usage reading.
• If the reading looks wrong, check the property, unit, and date before saving again.
